The ARM MK7 GTI Competition FMIC is one of the best upgrades for your GTI/Golf R.  Our MK7 Competition FMIC is a staggering 52% larger than our Standard MK7 FMIC and 99% larger than the OEM Intercooler. It is highly recommended to run this FMIC on a MK7 with an IS38 or larger turbocharger.

The ARM MK7 GTI FMIC positions the intercooler in front of your radiator stack, the most efficient position to cool your Gen 3 EA888. This is where the intercooler can utilize the ambient air where it is coolest, before it passes through your other radiators and temperatures increase. Complete your FMIC with the ARM Upgraded Charge Piping Kit! This kit for the MQB platform improves airflow by completely replacing the restrictive 1.5" factory plastic piping to and from your intercooler with full 2.5" T6061 aluminum piping coated in a durable wrinkle black finish.

The ARM Competition FMIC offers an impressive 982 cubic inch core. This massive core size ensures optimal heat dissipation, significantly reducing intake air temperatures (IATs) to deliver cooler, denser air to your engine. With its massive surface area and high capacity design, this intercooler can easily handle the increased airflow demands of high boost, whether it's an IS38 or hybrid turbo setup.

CONSTRUCTION

The heart of the ARM MK7 GTI Competition FMIC is it's efficient bar and plate intercooler core measuring 26 x 9 x 4.2 inches.  Making the total intercooler volume 982 cubic inches. A staggering 52% larger than our Standard MK7 FMIC and a whopping 99% larger than the OEM intercooler which comes in at only 493 cubic inches. Combine the efficient positioning of the intercooler with our ultra-dense fin packs with a fin-density of 20 fins per inch.Making it capable of supporting some of the most demanding builds. 

INSTALLATION

The ARM MK7 GTI Competition FMIC is one of the easiest intercooler upgrades to install for the MK7 GTI.  Like every intercooler upgrade for the MK7 platform, it does require the removal of your front bumper, but unlike stock-location intercooler upgrades it does not require any disassembling of the crash bar, radiator stack, or draining of the coolant.  The ARM Competition FMIC kit comes with MK7-specific mounting brackets to secure the FMIC without the need to cut or drill brackets into the crash bar.  The full installation of the ARM MK7 FMIC only takes about 2-3 hours, even for the novice mechanic. 

BI-COOLER UPGRADE

If you're looking for the best cooling performance on your MK7, you will want to opt for the ARM Bi-Cooler Hose Upgrade.  The ARM Bi-Cooler Hose Upgrade allows you to utilize a stock location intercooler (OEM or upgraded stock location intercooler) in conjunction with the ARM MK7 Competition FMIC giving your MK7 improved cooling efficiency over the ARM MK7 Competition FMIC alone.  This is only recommended if you already have a turbo upgrade or plan on installing one in the near future.

Every ARM Motorsports product is backed by a lifetime warranty which is automatically issued at the time of purchase. Your warranty protects you against any defects in craftsmanship or fitment. The warranty entitles you to a replacement unit.

Handling

Orders shipped directly from our warehouse are usually processed the same business day if placed before 12 PM MST, and tracking details are provided within 1 business day.

For drop-shipped items, processing times may vary depending on the manufacturer, typically 3–5 business days. Tracking updates may take longer in such cases.

Expedited shipping applies only once the item is ready to ship.

Return

You have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return. Items must be unused, in original packaging, and include proof of purchase. Customers are responsible for covering the return shipping costs.

Exchanges

Return the item and place a new order once approved.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. A restocking fee is 20% will be applied. Processing time depends on your bank or payment provider. The original shipping cost will not be refunded.

Cancellations

Canceled orders are subject to a 5% merchant fee (8% for Shop Pay installments). Custom, specialized items or pre-order items canceled within their lead time are also subject to this fee. Will also incur a 10% restocking fee.

Damaged or incorrect items

Inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately for assistance. If the wrong part was ordered, customer covers return shipping.

Disputes / Chargebacks

Our legal team is fully prepared to take stringent action against you for filing a baseless claim and initiating a fraudulent chargeback. This will lead to civil or criminal proceedings, which would require you to engage with our attorneys in our jurisdiction.

It is crucial to understand that filing a false chargeback is a serious offense, punishable by substantial fines or imprisonment. Potential penalties for fraudulent chargebacks can include one to three years in prison and fines ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. We treat all chargebacks with the utmost seriousness, regardless of the amount, as this is classified as a felony.

We will compose all necessary information to send your account to a collections agency and request that you be served once our lawyers organize the evidence and file a case against you.
